Spring Cloche Hat Crochet Project

Following on from my post a couple of months ago where I transcribed the cloche hat patterns. Here’s my first finished hat, ready to be wrapped up as yet another present:

The finished dimensions, using a 3.5mm hook and a fine 4 ply acrylic yarn, are: 27cm (10.5 inches) at the widest point (brim) and 18cm (7 inches) from top to bottom (crown to brim). I anticipate it will fit a child from about 2-4 years onwards.

The flower motifs can all be found as separate patterns saved on my pinterest board.

And here it is modelled by my lovely assistant – Sally Skeleton (who’s head just happens to be the right size!)
