This is a most useful introduction to the Ketogenic Diet. This is the lifestyle where you cut out the carbs from your diet – almost entirely – and force your body to burn fat instead of carbs/sugar.

By removing the carbs from your system, your body will automatically burn your body fat as fuel. You can even eat a high proportion of fats (GOOD fats!) in your day to day life and still lose weight. An important note is that it is NOT recommended for anyone with Type 1 Diabetes. But those who are simply a bit overweight, or Type 2 Diabetic (please consult your doctor), may benefit from this style of diet.

I tried this diet for a short while back in 2019 and I lost 6KG (≈13lb 4oz) in about 5 weeks. You HAVE to be strict with yourself for it to work, and I am attempting now to go back on Keto to lose some KG that have crept back!

Filled with background information on the science and with numerous recipes to get you started, this is a handy book for the newcomer to Keto.
