Mosquito Man by Jeremy Bates

Mosquito ManMosquito Man by Jeremy Bates
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In this book, a man brings his wife and children back to his old home in a backwoods cabin. His past is mysterious, and he appears to not clearly remember why and how his parents died. Mysterious deaths have been happening in the area for decades, possibly longer. So what actually happened to his family originally? Is there a monster roaming the area? Or possibly a serial killer?

This novel presents a mystery which is similar to the mothman legend. Mosquito Man is not my favourite of Jeremy Bates’ novels, but it is an interesting read nonetheless. The tension of the chase is held up well. The inner thoughts of the main characters are often written from their own perspectives, which gives you a fairly good insight into each personality, whether it is an adult or a child thinking these thoughts.

An amusing read which will definitely keep you occupied for a few hours.
